This was a trip in June 2006, when I was in Perth for the Global Conference on Buddhism.
Buddhist Fellowship arranged for a visit to Bodhinyana monastery at Serpentine road. This is where Ajahn Brahm stays and where he is the abbot. The trip takes about 1 hour from Perth city. Bodhinyana is the Buddhist name of Ajahn Chah, Ajahn Brahm’s teacher in Thailand.
As the bus nears the monastery, we can already see Ajahn Brahm standing outside waiting for us! Obviously, everyone on the bus were quite excited and surprised by the kind actions of the cheeky monk.

The bus loads of people surrounding Ajahn Brahm and taking photos with Ajahn.
You know, I have to tell you, I truly savour this site and the useful insight. I find it to be refreshful and quite informative. I wish there were more blogs like it. Anyway, I felt it was about time I posted a comment on Trip to Bodhinyana Heartland – I just wanted to tell you that you did a sweet job on this. Cheers dude!
